Wedding Planner Malta - About Dream Days

Mark and Mariella Burton launched Dream Days Wedding Planners in March 2004 after both spending many years with major UK tour operators. They were both managers of customer care departments as one area of the roles they held.

Mariella is Maltese and began life as a holiday representative aged 19. She worked her way to Resort Manager - Malta, until deciding to start her own business with Mark, whom she married in 1999 . They were married in church in Valletta and their wedding reception in Malta was at a beautiful Country Manor, which they still promote to their wedding couples.

Mariella is highly organised and her time in tour operating was excellent preparation for wedding planning, which was also a large part of her daily timetable previously.

She also enjoys dealing with the aspects of a wedding that may not be considered by most brides as Mark's area - flowers, hair and make up! Although Mariella's people skills are what most wedding couples appreciate most.

Mark is from Somerset in the UK and also spent many years with large UK tour operators. His last position was Regional Manager for the Eastern Mediterranean before settling in Malta and starting the process of inventing Dream Days Weddings.

They have two lovely daughters, Samantha Jo who is 12 and Chloe who is 8. Chloe is a budding photographer and may join the Dream Days team one day. Sammy is interested in hair and beauty, so another one of the family may be employed soon too!

In 2005, Mark and Mariella decided that as weddings in Malta were becoming more popular for overseas visitors, the time was right to start arranging weddings themselves and Dream Days was born. To date, they have arranged over 250 weddings in Malta and Gozo.

Dream Days plan and arrange your wedding with a personal touch not always on offer from the major companies. As it is their own business, they can also be much more flexible in their approach and are able to meet most requests, however unusual! As they run the business, ALL decisions are made by Mark and Mariella, this means you get results in a few hours as opposed to days.

The company is now considered to be a major strength in the Malta Tourism sector as they also arrange hotel accommodation for the guests attending the weddings.
